Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of standard communication procedures and emergency communications equipment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of state regions, laws, codes, and regulations.
• Knowledge of recordkeeping procedures and security of reports.
• Knowledge of hazards materials handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency communication and consistent situational awareness.
• Operate the Emergency Management communications network during shifts.
• Initiate response activities and allocate state resources during emergencies.
• Route multiple incoming emergency and non-emergency calls and coordinate alerts to staff and agencies.
• Perform daily operational tests of communications equipment.
