Job summary

National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a System Ops Health Analyst to monitor critical infrastructure and applications, ensuring reliability and security for the UK’s energy networks. The role involves shift work in a 24/7 operation with a 30% shift allowance.

Based in Wokingham with initial training travel to Warwick, it requires NSV clearance and UK residency over the last five years. An energised, security-conscious professional with strong IT and data centre skills will thrive.

Qualifications

• Strong background in technology (Wintel, Unix, BMC products, SCADA Telemetry).
• Experience supporting mission critical systems with knowledge of system tech, networking, monitoring tools.
• Operational background with analytical thinking, problem solving and decision making.

Responsibilities

• 24x7 system health and proactive monitoring of CNI services (applications, middleware, database, OS, server infra).
• Provide 1st line support to meet SLAs for CNI systems/services.
• Coordinate with 2nd/3rd line support, System Managers, partners, control room staff, IT helpdesk and Incident Managers.
• Support compliance with security and CNI regulations, policies and standards.
• Underpin critical business processes with reliable and available CNI control systems for energy networks in the UK.
