Job summary

Trident Recruitment is recruiting an experienced CNC Turner/ Programmer Setter Operator to join a precision engineering company in Larkhall. This permanent night shift role runs Monday to Thursday, offering a three-day weekend.

The base rate is up to £21.00 per hour, with a night shift allowance of 1.3x; at the maximum base rate, total hourly pay is about £27.30. The successful candidate will program, set and operate CNC lathes, read drawings, select tooling, and inspect parts to tight

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Turner is essential.
• Fanuc programming experience required.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience in precision engineering environments.
• Ability to use micrometers, verniers and inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
• Programming using Fanuc controls.
• Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.
• Programming directly at the machine.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Selecting tooling and carrying out tool changes and offsets.
• Inspecting your own components using appropriate measuring equipment.
• Working independently during the night shift.
• Maintaining consistently high standards of quality and productivity.
