Job summary

EMBS Recruitment Ltd, on behalf of a leading precision engineering manufacturer in Rotherham, is seeking a CNC Setter (Turner) to join the team on a permanent basis. You will manage setup and operation of CNC machines, read drawings, edit programs with FANUC controls, select tooling, perform first-offs, and ensure parts meet tolerances.

Qualifications

• Time-served or equivalent experience in engineering production.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and works orders.
• Proven ability to edit CNC programs and set up tooling.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery, ensuring parts meet specifications.
• Edit CNC programs using FANUC controls.
• Select tooling and perform first-offs, adjusting as needed.
• Read job cards and diagrams, verify dimensions with measuring equipment.
• Log job details and maintain housekeeping.
