Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited has been retained to recruit a CNC Turner for a prestigious precision engineering company based near Motherwell. The role concentrates on night-shift work, four nights per week, with a strong emphasis on setting, operating and programming CNC lathes.

You will work with Doosan or CMZ machines, applying Fanuc controls to produce small batches of components for demanding sectors such as oil & gas and marine.

Qualifications

• Experience setting, operating and programming a CNC lathe.
• Experience with Fanuc controls on CNC machines.
• Ability to produce small batches in a busy workshop.

Responsibilities

• Set up and program a CNC lathe for nightly shifts.
• Operate CNC lathes using Fanuc/Mazatrol/Heidenhain controls.
• Produce small batches of precision components.

Are you a CNC Turner looking to work 4 nights a week, for a thriving precision engineering company offering an excellent package and a long-term career?

In this workshop-based role you will be setting, operating and programming a CNC lathe, producing small batches of parts, working on Doosan or CMZ machines.

Founded over 50 years ago, this machining company provide parts to the oil & gas, offshore, power and marine industries, boasting a loyal client base and plenty of future stability.

This role would suit a CNC Turner with setting, operating and programming experience, looking for a role working nights only, in a busy workshop with plenty of variety of work.

The Role:

• Setting, operating and programming a CNC lathe
• Using Fanuc controls on the machine
• Producing small batches of components
• Monday to Thursday, 9pm - 8am, 42 hours a week
