Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator for a night shift in Chelmsford, UK. You will set up and operate press brake machinery, read drawings, select tooling, and ensure tight tolerances while maintaining safety standards.

The role involves producing sheet-metal components to specification and working closely with supervision and manufacturing teams to maintain records and quality.

Qualifications

• Previous press brake operating experience is required.
• Sheet-metal or fabrication background.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Strong measurement and inspection skills.
• Good understanding of tolerances.
• Reliable and quality-focused.

Responsabilités

• Set and operate press brake machinery to produce components.
• Produce sheet-metal components from drawings.
• Carry out machine set-up and adjustments.
• Check dimensions and finished-component quality.
• Read engineering drawings and ensure tolerances are met.
• Select appropriate tooling and carry out routine machine checks.
• Identify production or quality issues and maintain records.
• Work closely with supervisors and wider manufacturing teams; maintain health and safety standards.
