Job summary

Select Butchery in Essex is seeking a Night Shift Butcher to join our team in a chilled environment. Hours are 20:00-05:00, Sunday to Friday, handling red meat primal cuts for Beef, Pork, Lamb and Poultry to exact customer specs.

The role requires prior butchery experience, ability to read orders in English, and readiness to work with Halal and Non-Halal products. Right to work in the UK is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in red meat and poultry butchery, boning, trimming and portioning.
• Ability to read and follow customer orders and specifications in English.
• Willingness to work with Halal and Non-Halal products.

Responsibilities

• Follow food safety culture and maintain hygiene at all times.
• Prepare meat to customer specifications including boning, trimming and portioning.
• Portion and cut steaks and chops to exact weights; maintain storage and waste control.
