Job summary

The Range in Plymouth is seeking a Security Operations Centre Nights Lead to oversee SOC Operators at the Head Office. You will manage incident response, escalations and ensure smooth night-time operation of CCTV, alarms and monitoring platforms.

This hands-on leadership role requires clear communication, sound judgement and resilience under pressure, with a focus on GDPR, confidentiality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Experience with incident management, CCTV, alarm monitoring, or security operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support SOC Nights Operators during night shifts.
• Act as primary escalation point for security incidents, alarms and faults.
• Oversee CCTV, alarm monitoring, monitoring platforms and health checks.
• Maintain accurate incident records, shift reports and handovers.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, external agencies and emergency services.
• Support team development and adherence to SOC procedures.
• Identify risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, data protection and confidentiality.
