Job summary

The Range is seeking a Nights Security Operations Centre Operative to join our Plymouth-based team. You will monitor CCTV, respond to alarms, and manage incidents across our store estate in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.

This permanent, full-time role operates on a 12-hour night shift (4-on, 4-off) and requires strong attention to detail and reliable decision-making. You will support stores, maintain accurate records, and help develop security processes while handling confidential information in

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV systems and identify potential security threats or incidents.
• Respond to alarms and security alerts in line with procedures.
• Investigate, manage and upscale incidents with stores and external agencies as needed.
• Provide clear updates to stakeholders and maintain incident records.
• Support daily administration and operation of the Security Operations Centre.
• Contribute to development of processes and adapt to new technologies.
• Handle confidential information in line with GDPR and policies.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as required.

As a result of our continued growth and ongoing success, we are seeking a dynamic Nights Security Operations Centre Operative to join our Head Office team in Plymouth.

About the Role:

Working as part of a team monitoring security across The Range store estate, you'll be responsible for CCTV surveillance, responding to alarms and incidents, supporting stores, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, sound decision-making under pressure, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced 24/7 environment. This is a 12-hour night shift role on a 4-on, 4-off rota.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor CCTV systems and identify potential security threats or incidents.
• Respond to alarms, security alerts and monitoring systems in line with procedures.
• Investigate, manage and upscale incidents, liaising with stores, management and external agencies as required.
• Provide clear communication and timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate incident records and complete associated reporting.
• Support the day-to-day administration and operation of the Security Operations Centre.
• Assist with the development of processes and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
• Handle confidential information in line with company policies, GDPR and data protection requirements.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
