Job summary

YMCA Bournemouth is seeking a Night Support Officer to join our Night Support and Security team, providing overnight security, housing-related support and assistance to residents at Delta House.

You will respond calmly to emergencies, record events, and hand over information to the daytime team, working independently yet collaboratively with colleagues across Housing and Support, using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach.

Qualifications

• Trauma-informed approach to resident support.
• Strengths-based approach in safeguarding and conflict situations.
• Ability to respond calmly to emergencies during night hours.
• Collaborative working with Housing and Support team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, safety and security of residents and premises at night.
• Provide housing-related advice and support to residents.
• Record events and important information in the Handover Book; report incidents as needed.
• Follow safeguarding, fire safety, first aid, health and safety procedures.
