About the role
As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help create a positive experience for our customers by providing partner-led service and demonstrating passion for food. Your dedication to going the extra mile will enhance the Waitrose brand image and foster customer loyalty.
Applicants must be 18 years or over due to working time regulations.

In addition to the stated pay, a shift premium will be paid for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00, at the role's minimum pay rate.

Key Responsibilities
Your role involves various shop-keeping tasks to ensure efficient operations, including:

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and products well-placed for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery.
• Reducing wastage through product due diligence and markdowns on near-expiry items.
• Supporting the wider team with checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.

Essential Skills/Experience
- Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.

Desirable Skills/Experience
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Knowledge and interest in food and drink trends.
- Flexibility to support the branch as needed.
