Job summary

AURA Veterinary Ltd is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse for night shifts. The role involves ward-based overnight nursing for oncology and soft tissue patients, with advanced care for emergency cases, working with a night team including a duty vet and an auxiliary.

The position emphasizes ongoing training, with funded CPD, RCVS registration support, and a comprehensive benefits package. Alternate patterns may be considered upon discussion.

Qualifications

• Qualified RVN with registration in the UK (RCVS).
• Willingness to work nights and participate in a rotating schedule.
• Experience with oncology or critical care is not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight nursing care for oncology and soft tissue patients.
• Work within the night team alongside a duty veterinary surgeon and an auxiliary.
• Deliver advanced nursing care and monitor emergencies during night shifts.

Job description

This is a ward-based position, delivering overnight nursing care to our medical and surgical oncology and soft tissue patients. You will be required to deliver advanced nursing care to emergency and critical care patients. You will work within the night team, alongside another RVN, a duty veterinary surgeon and an auxiliary.

We are dedicated to teaching and learning and your training will continue throughout your career at AURA Veterinary. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills to an advanced nursing level.

No previous referral experience is required.

The role is working 7 nights on and 7 nights off but we would consider an alternative working pattern.
