Job summary

The Imperial London Hotels is seeking a sharp, calm Night Receptionist to keep operations running smoothly through the night at The Imperial in Bloomsbury, London. You’ll be the overnight presence delivering seamless service and ensuring guests feel safe and prepared for the next day.

You’ll manage night operations, handle arrivals and departures with Opera/Knowcross/Micros, and perform audits while maintaining a welcoming, high‑standard environment for all guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Calm under pressure with clear English communication (CEFR B2).
• Proficient with MS Office and hotel systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage night operations with smooth handovers and consistent standards.
• Use Opera, Knowcross and Micros to support arrivals, departures and overnight tasks.
• Perform income audits, safety checks and early-morning call requests.
• Check guests in/out, assist with luggage and provide information.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards across public areas during quieter periods.
• Resolve guest requests with professionalism and urgency.
• Support the night team with coaching and procedures.

About The Role

We’re looking for a sharp, calm and guest-focused Night Receptionist to keep our hotel running smoothly while the city sleeps. You’ll be the reassuring overnight presence that delivers seamless service, keeps guests safe and ensures every detail is ready for the next day.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage night operations confidently, ensuring smooth handovers and consistent standards.
• Use Opera, Knowcross and Micros systems to support guest arrivals, departures and overnight tasks.
• Complete income audits, safety checks and early‑morning call requests.
• Deliver warm, attentive service – checking guests in/out, assisting with luggage and providing information.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across public areas during quieter periods.
• Resolve guest requests and issues with confidence, professionalism and urgency.
• Support the night team with coaching, service delivery and departmental procedures.

Who You Are

• Experienced in customer‑facing roles, confident resolving issues face‑to‑face or over the phone.
• Calm under pressure, attentive and able to communicate clearly in English (CEFR B2).
• Skilled with MS Office and comfortable learning hotel systems.
• Bonus: Opera/PMS experience, strong admin skills and hospitality training.
