Job summary

Edwardian Hotels London is recruiting for a Night Reception Team Leader at The May Fair Hotel. The role is based on a 12-shift, 4 days on/3 days off rota, overseeing night reception and lobby hosting to ensure a smooth guest experience.

You will handle check-ins and check-outs, assist guests with luggage, deputise for the Night Manager, greet guests warmly, manage cash and payments, and contribute to a personalised service while supporting administration tasks and promoting on-site amenities.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel reception experience in a 4- or 5-star operation preferred.
• Experience with Opera, Office 365, and Guest Plus for front desk tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills.
• Impeccable command of English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Oversee night reception and lobby hosting to ensure a smooth guest experience at night.
• Manage check-in/check-out, rooming and luggage assistance; deputise for Night Manager when needed.
• Greet guests warmly and handle cash payments and float in line with standards.
• Respond to guest communications professionally with personalised service.
• Assist with daily administration tasks within the department.
• Promote hotel amenities and outlets and update guest records for personalised service.
• Aim to exceed guest expectations and maintain high satisfaction levels.
