Job summary

Langdale Chase Hotel on Lake Windermere is seeking a Night Porter to provide a five-star guest experience while ensuring security and health & safety during the night. You will check in late arrivals, check out early departures, and assist with night-time refreshments and room service.

The role requires a professional, loyal and knowledgeable approach, with the ability to multi-task in a pressurised environment. Rezlynx experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Night Porter or similar hospitality role.
• Ability to multi-task in a pressurised environment.
• Knowledge of hotel fire evacuation plans and fire panel operation.
• Computer literate with familiarity of hotel management software.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard guest service and welcome to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Ensure full security and health & safety for the hotel overnight.
• Check in late arrival guests and check out early departures.
• Serve refreshments to residents overnight when necessary.
• Set up and clear public areas as required.
• Clear restaurant tables after late dinners.
• Complete patrols of the hotel and premises overnight.
• Be familiar with fire evacuation plans and fire panel operation.

Job description

We are now looking to appoint a Night Porter, reporting to the Reception Manager, to provide a five-star guest experience through the delivery of a caring and attentive service to our visiting guests, as well as ensuring the security and health & safety of the Hotel overnight. Your day to day;

• Responsible for providing a high standard of guest service and welcome to ensure an exceptional guest experience
• Ensuring full security and health & safety for the hotel and premises throughout the night
• Checking in any late arrival guests and checking out any early departures
• Where necessary serving refreshments to hotel residents throughout the night
• Setting up and clearing any public areas as necessary
• Clearing restaurant tables after any late dinners
• Completing patrols of the hotel and premises throughout the night
• Being knowledgeable and fully conversant with the hotel fire evacuation plans as well as understanding the fire panel operation
  You will have worked previously in a similar Night Porter role and will ideally have worked in a high quality Four-Star or Five-Star hotel. You will have the ability to work well with others to represent the Company and the hotel in a passionate, loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner. You will have a strong work ethic, good timekeeping and the ability to multi-task whilst working in a pressurised environment.

You will be computer literate and previous experience with Rezlynx would be advantageous.
