Job summary

Night Porter: Fixed Shift - Monday to Thursday 22.00pm-07.45am

We are working with a luxury residential building to find a dedicated Night Porter. Reporting to the General Manager and Deputy Manager, this role is essential in providing excellent customer service and an unrivalled resident experience during night hours.

Resident Services & Concierge Duties:

• Act as the first point of contact for residents during night hours, handling all enquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
• Assist residents with carrying parcels, shopping bags, and suitcases (of a normal weight).
• Maintain a polite, professional, and discreet manner at all times.

Security & Access Control:

• Conduct regular patrols throughout the building and grounds to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and access control panels.
• Ensure all external doors and entry points remain secure.
• Respond to emergencies, including fire alarms or security breaches, in line with site protocols.

Contractor & Visitor Management:

• Keep accurate records of all contractors and tradespeople working on-site, including their names, companies, dates, times of arrival and departure, and work being undertaken.
• Log and monitor all keys issued to contractors, residents, or service personnel, ensuring correct key handling procedures are followed.

Parcel Handling & Deliveries:

• Receive and securely store parcels and deliveries.
• Notify residents of parcel arrivals and facilitate safe handover.

Cleaning & Presentation:

• Undertake light cleaning duties in the reception area and common parts (e.g., wiping down surfaces, mopping up spills, removing litter) as required during the night shift.
• Ensure all communal areas remain tidy and presentable at all times.

Health & Safety & Maintenance Reporting:

• Conduct regular inspections of the property for any health and safety risks or maintenance issues.
• Immediately report hazards, damage, or concerns to the Property or Building Manager.
• Ensure appropriate records are maintained in the incident/maintenance logs.

Handover & Record Keeping:

• Complete clear and detailed handover notes at the end of each shift.
• Log all incidents, contractor visits, key movements, resident interactions, and cleaning tasks performed.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar night concierge within high-end residential environments preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Professional presentation and conduct.
• Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication.
• SIA License (desirable depending on property requirements).
• First Aid Certificate (preferred or willingness to undertake training).
• Good awareness of health and safety practices.
