Job summary

The Meadow Lark in Trumpington, Cambridge, is opening late 2026 as a premium pub with rooms. We’re seeking Night Managers and Night Porters to join the opening team to look after guests overnight, keeping the hotel safe, secure and welcoming, while delivering excellent service.

Whether seasoned or new, we’re looking for reliable, friendly, and confident people who can work independently, handle audits, and take pride in creating a great guest experience.

Qualifications

• You’re responsible, reliable, and have a keen eye for details.
• Well-organised and able to learn systems and audits for overnight.
• Have the ability to work alone when night managers are off.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Night Porter/Auditor in a hotel or hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Night Manager in ensuring guest safety and smooth overnight operations.
• Perform cleaning duties and maintain property standards.
• Handle late check-ins, early check-outs, and reservation checks.
• Support night audits, including fire, health & safety, and security checks.
• Prepare for breakfast service and provide shift handovers.
• Follow emergency procedures, including fire evacuations.
