Job summary

The Health in Justice team at Practice Plus Group is seeking a Night Nurse to work within the Primary Care Team. You will cover night shifts with induction day shifts, and rotate with day shifts for ongoing development, delivering nurse-led services and joining emergency response activities.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, focusing on high-quality, evidence-based care and continuous professional development within a justice-focused healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with adult qualifications and current NMC registration.
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD) and ongoing learning.
• Understanding of multi-disciplinary working and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nurse-led services within a multi-disciplinary team to prevent hospital admissions.
• Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled meds, attend emergency responses, assess patients.
• Deliver nurse-led clinics and contribute to nursing strategy and evidence-based care.

Job description

The Night Nurse will be based in the healthcare department and will be assisting with emergency response and being part of the Primary Care Team You will work day shifts for the first three months as part of your induction before moving to your permanent night-shift rota. As a night nurse, you will also be required to complete one week of day shifts every three months for ongoing professional development and support, As a Night Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions.
• Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
• Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
• Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
• Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference, as defined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice competency framework

• 7 nights on - 7 nights on, This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £34,428 - £41,658 per annum FTE depending on experience.
