Job summary

Kier Group in Weatherhill is seeking an M&R Supervisor to lead day-to-day maintenance, response functions and small works schemes. The role involves supervising internal and external teams, ensuring delivery within programme and budget.

You will work nights, 45 hours per week, coordinating resources, prioritising health and safety, and liaising with clients and emergency services to support severe weather services and reactive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising operations and managing teams effectively.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate resources and meet deadlines.
• Proven background in maintenance, highways or related operational environments.
• Ability to promote health and safety in the workplace and ensure compliance.
• Natural communicator who can build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Area Manager in programming, managing and delivering routine, reactive and severe weather services.
• Daily allocation and supervision of works and resources to meet programmes and maintenance requirements.
• Assisting in emergency response, coordinating with the hub to restore highways.
• Undertaking site inductions, briefings and toolbox talks, maintaining records.
• Liaising with clients, members of the public and key stakeholders including emergency services as required.
