Job summary

You Matter is seeking a Night Link Worker in Liverpool to support residents experiencing homelessness, including those with addiction, mental ill health, and other challenges. You will help create a safe environment, empower residents to make positive changes, and work on waking night shifts in a trauma-informed, recovery-focused service.

Reporting to the Night Link Team, you will perform welfare checks, assist with room management, contribute to risk assessments, and document resident

Qualifications

• Experience in charity or homelessness sector preferred.
• Understanding of welfare benefits and housing information helpful.
• Ability to work in a 24-hour residential setting with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the Night Link Worker Team to provide support.
• Offer accommodation-based support in a trauma-informed, wake-night shift environment.
• Carry out welfare and room checks; report health and safety issues.
• Assist with welcoming new residents; support HB applications and risk assessments.
• Motivate residents to achieve goals and encourage involvement.
• Conduct Mainstay assessments as needed and maintain records.
• Keep electronic records and rent payments up to date in the YM system (DAVE).
• Share clear information during daily handovers with the team.
• Coordinate Sit Up beds as required.
