Job summary

New Start is hiring a Waking Night Support Worker for our Adult Services division in Merseyside. You will provide practical and emotional support to residents during night hours, ensuring safety and wellbeing across the building.

We seek candidates with Waking Nights experience, an NVQ Level 2 or progress towards it, and strong skills in recording notes, risk assessment, and crisis support. This role offers 40.25 hours per week, with a 4-on-4-off pattern and benefits upon probation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a Waking Nights post or similar.
• NVQ Level 2 in Housing/Health and Social Care or working towards this qualification.
• Ability to record information accurately in case notes and support plans.
• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals through crisis or change.
• Experience with adults with multiple and complex needs who may exhibit challenging behaviour.
• Strong understanding of professional boundaries when working with vulnerable adults.
• Experience completing risk assessments and incident reports to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health and safety checks during night shifts and manage incidents.
• Oversee residents' safety and building security; support staff as needed.
• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and support others in this area.
• Carry out administrative tasks assigned by senior staff or management.
