Job summary

Sofina Foods Europe is hiring a Night Factory Hygiene Operative to maintain the highest hygiene standards across our production facility. You will clean, inspect, and prepare equipment and lines for production, following strict food safety rules.

The role involves physical work in a fast-paced environment, using PPE and cleaning equipment, with full training provided where needed. Competitive pay and shift allowances accompany a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hygiene/food manufacturing environment is beneficial, but full training is provided.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to high standards.
• Comfortable with physically active tasks including lifting and operating cleaning equipment.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and ability to report issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled cleaning across production and factory areas.
• Strip down, clean, and reassemble machinery per site procedures.
• Clean production lines, trays, tools, and processing equipment to hygiene standards.
• Support deep cleaning in production and prep areas.
• Complete post-clean inspections to verify cleaning standards.
• Follow hygiene, food safety, and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
• Use and maintain PPE across different factory environments.
• Work efficiently to complete cleaning schedules within required timescales.
• Report faults, incidents, or concerns affecting safety, hygiene, or production.

Role Overview

As a Night Factory Hygiene Operative, you'll be an essential part of the team responsible for ensuring our manufacturing facility is clean, safe, and ready for production. Working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, you'll help protect product quality and food safety by maintaining exceptional hygiene standards across our factory and equipment.

Key Duties

• Carry out scheduled cleaning activities across production and factory areas.
• Strip down, clean, and reassemble machinery and equipment in line with site procedures.
• Clean production lines, trays, tools, and processing equipment to the required hygiene standards.
• Support deep cleaning activities within production and preparation areas.
• Complete post-clean inspections to verify cleaning standards have been achieved.
• Follow all hygiene, food safety, and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
• Use and maintain PPE correctly while working across different factory environments.
• Work efficiently to ensure cleaning schedules are completed within required timescales.
• Report any faults, incidents, or concerns that could impact safety, hygiene, or production.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience within a hygiene, cleaning, food manufacturing, or production environment would be beneficial, although full training can be provided.
• A strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Comfortable working in a physically active role, including lifting equipment and operating cleaning equipment such as high-pressure hoses.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet agreed deadlines.
• Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and report issues clearly.
• Adaptable and comfortable working across different areas of the factory using the appropriate PPE.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
