Job summary

Sofina Foods Europe is seeking a Hygiene Operative to help maintain the highest food safety and cleanliness standards at our Grimsby site. You will work as part of the 4 on 4 off night shift team, delivering effective cleaning activities to support product quality and operational excellence.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2 Food Hygiene and have knowledge of GMP, COSHH and chemical handling. The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification required.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and GMP standards in manufacturing.
• Understanding of chemical handling, COSHH requirements and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong "clean as you go" culture and support GMP adherence.
• Carry out cleaning activities in line with procedures and hygiene standards.
• Complete machinery hygiene checks as required by the company.
• Maintain high hygiene standards across the production environment.
• Support hygiene, food safety and internal audit activities on site.
• Ensure PPE and uniform standards are maintained.
• Complete allocated tasks safely, accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate and timely completion of required documentation.

Role Overview

As a Hygiene Operative, you'll play an important role in ensuring our production environment is maintained to the highest possible standards. Working as part of the 4 on 4 off night shift team, you'll support food safety, product quality, and operational excellence by delivering effective cleaning activities across the site.

Key Duties

• Promote a strong \"clean as you go\" culture and support adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Carry out cleaning activities in line with trained procedures and agreed hygiene standards.
• Complete machinery hygiene checks in accordance with company requirements.
• Maintain exceptional hygiene standards throughout the production environment.
• Support hygiene, food safety, and internal audit activities across the site.
• Ensure PPE and company-issued uniform standards are maintained at all times.
• Complete allocated tasks safely, accurately, and within agreed timescales.
• Maintain accurate and timely completion of all required documentation.

Ideal Candidate
