Job summary

Second Nature Southampton is seeking a Night Supervisor to join our caring team at our Southampton property. You’ll be on the night shift, ensuring guest safety, security and a welcoming atmosphere while supporting the Night Manager and coordinating with housekeeping.

You’ll respond promptly to guest requests, monitor systems, patrol corridors and keep accurate records. We value calm professionalism, initiative, and the ability to work well with limited supervision during quiet hours.

Qualifications

• Some experience in night operations or hotel duties.
• Experience responding to guest requests and handling issues.
• Comfort with monitoring systems and basic security procedures.
• Ability to work well on your own during quiet periods.
• An alert, observant nature, especially during night shifts.
• Calm, professional approach to unexpected situations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests and room issues promptly, at any hour.
• Assist with late check-ins and early check-outs to smooth arrivals.
• Patrol common areas and corridors during the night.
• Monitor security systems and ensure doors/windows are secure.
• Report maintenance issues, especially safety-related.
• Support fellow night staff and assist housekeeping on urgent issues.
• Maintain clear records of night-time activity and incidents.
• Know basic emergency procedures to guide guests if needed.
