Job summary

Cove is seeking a dedicated Night Receptionist to oversee overnight guest services and the night audit process. You will ensure a calm, welcoming atmosphere for guests, handle late arrivals/early departures, and manage nightly checks with the PMS and financial controls.

The role requires independent work, strong numeracy, and a proactive approach to security, safety and incident reporting, ensuring readiness for the morning team.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel reception or guest service experience.
• Experience working night shifts or completing night audit procedures is desirable.
• Experience using PMS and payment systems.
• Experience in food and beverage service is desirable where relevant to the property.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with warmth and personal approach, including late arrivals and early departures.
• Complete check-in/out using the hotel’s PMS and manage overnight reservations and requests.
• Provide local knowledge and assist with transport and onward travel information.
• Reconcile payments, postings and reports, and maintain cash security.
• Prepare overnight reports and handover to the day team, ensuring security of assets.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow health and safety procedures.
• Carry out routine overnight tasks and keep reception, lobby and areas clean and presentable.
