Job summary

Mint People are recruiting a Night Porter for a hotel in the centre of Carlisle. The role covers night hours and involves welcoming guests, ensuring safety, and handling late check-ins. You will also help with breakfast setup and maintain public area presentation.

Suitable candidates will have night porter/front-of-house experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently during the night. This is a temporary position with ongoing work potential.

Qualifications

• Previous night porter or front-of-house hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm and professional welcome to guests arriving or departing overnight.
• Ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and the premises during night hours.
• Handle late check-ins and early check-outs efficiently.
• Assist with setting up for breakfast service or events as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation in public areas.
• Complete regular security and safety checks throughout the building.
• Respond to guest queries and provide exceptional customer service at all times.
