Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in Peterborough is seeking a Waste Operative with an FLT Counterbalance licence to join our Waste and Cleaning team. You will handle the collection, movement, sorting, processing and dispatch of waste and other materials, including cardboard, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift Counterbalance license and experience in waste management preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Undertake collection, movement, sorting, processing and dispatch of waste and materials.
• Assist with compaction of waste and cardboard and monitor equipment safely.
• Follow health and safety regulations and PPE guidance, pass DBS/drug screening as required.
