Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Forklift Truck Driver for a permanent role in a warehouse environment. You will operate a counterbalance forklift within a cleaning and waste team, loading/unloading pallets and sorting pallets while ensuring equipment is clean and safe.

PPE must be worn and health and safety rules followed. The role requires a Counter Balance license and basic English, with shift patterns of day hours and a 12-hour day, 4 on/4 off, on-site in Peterborough.

Qualifications

• Counter Balance forklift license required.
• 3 months forklift operative experience preferred.
• Communicative English essential; may require language assessment.
• Good organisational skills and time management are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate Forklift Truck in warehouse environment.
• Load/unload pallet trailers and handle cardboard/plastic bales.
• Sort, move and stack pallets; keep equipment clean and maintained.
• Wear PPE and comply with health and safety legislation; complete required documentation.
