Mitie Group plc. in Peterborough is seeking a Forklift Truck Driver to operate forklifts within a cleaning and waste team in a warehouse setting. You will load/unload pallet trailers, bale stock, and stack pallets while maintaining equipment and PPE compliance.
The role requires a Counter Balance license and forklift experience; good English skills and a willingness to complete a DBS check and drug/alcohol screening are expected. Permanent contract, day shifts, 12-hour days.
Salary: £14.18 / hour
Hours: 12 hours/ day
Shift Pattern: Day Shift - 7 am to 7 pm, 4 on / 4 off

In your new role as an FLT Driver, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team and undertake the operation of Forklift Truck driving within a health and safety conscious environment. Your duties will include loading and unloading pallet trailers, loading cardboard and plastic bales onto trailers, and sorting, moving and stackings pallets. Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is in safe working order, perform miscellaneous cleaning duties and provide support to the waste team, whilst wearing PPE and complying with health and safety legislation.

Qualifications:
In order to be successful in this role, you'll need a Counter Balance license and 3 months forklift operative experience is preferred. Communicative English is essential, and you may be required to take an English language assessment. You'll need to have good organisational skills, be detail conscious, work from your own initiative and have excellent time management skills. You must be able to complete appropriate documentation and fall into the required shift pattern as deemed suitable to meet contractual requirements. You will be required to complete the Basic Disclosure (DBS Check) and undertake a drug and alcohol screening test.
