Job summary

Mitie Group plc. in Peterborough is seeking a Forklift Truck Driver to operate forklifts within a cleaning and waste team in a warehouse setting. You will load/unload pallet trailers, bale stock, and stack pallets while maintaining equipment and PPE compliance.

The role requires a Counter Balance license and forklift experience; good English skills and a willingness to complete a DBS check and drug/alcohol screening are expected. Permanent contract, day shifts, 12-hour days.

Qualifications

• Counter Balance license required.
• Forklift operative experience preferred (3 months).
• Communicative English essential; may require an English assessment.
• Ability to complete documentation and adapt to shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift truck in a warehouse environment.
• Load/unload pallet trailers and bale stock.
• Sort, move and stack pallets and materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment; wear PPE.
