Job summary

A women-only supported housing service in the United Kingdom is seeking Night Support Workers to work night shifts and provide person-centred support to service users. The role focuses on developing independent living skills, sustaining tenancies, and safeguarding vulnerable individuals.

DBS checks are preferred or willingness to obtain one, with opportunities to liaise with external agencies and maintain thorough case notes.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care settings such as supported housing, homelessness, or mental health.

• Enhanced DBS on Update Service preferred or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Providing night shifts support to service users.
• Supporting clients to develop independent living skills and sustain their tenancies.
• Completing support plans, risk assessments, incident reports, and case notes.
• Safeguarding vulnerable adults and promoting their wellbeing.
• Managing challenging behaviour and responding appropriately to incidents or emergencies.
• Liaising with external agencies and support services where required.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
