Job summary

Salvation Army Homes is seeking a Night Concierge to provide a waking, overnight on-site presence at Doncaster Foyer, ensuring resident wellbeing and building security. The role requires strong communication, resilience, and a compassionate, asset-based approach to empowering residents.

You will engage with residents and partners, support vulnerable groups, and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment while adhering to safeguarding policies and the organisation’s values.

Qualifications

• Be a confident and capable communicator, not fazed by difficult situations.
• Build trusting, professional relationships with a high level of resilience.
• Take an asset-based approach to empowering people to develop their skills, strengths and talents.
• Have good knowledge or experience of working with homeless people, and/or supporting vulnerable people or groups.
• Understand or learn about community resources and organisations that can help our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide a waking, overnight on-site presence in the Service to ensure safety and wellbeing of residents and security of the building.
• Oversee security and contribute to a supportive, respectful living environment for residents.
