Your new company

If you have experience working within security or in a setting that supports vulnerable adults facing homelessness, this is the role for you! You will be supporting a 44-bed, 3-floor homeless hostel in Exeter. This hostel ensures the safety of vulnerable adults in our society. The individuals you will support may have mental health illnesses, drug and alcohol misuse, homelessness, be victims of domestic abuse, and more.

Your new role

Hours - varied shifts and working patterns available

Monday - Thursday 21:45 - 07:45

Friday 21:45 - 08:00

Saturday and Sunday 19:45 - 08:00

• You will be ensuring vulnerable adults' safety through their stay at the hostel via timed welfare checks.
• De-escalating challenging behaviour and situations.
• Delivering emergency medication.
• Clear and precise record-keeping and handovers.
• Ensuring all policies and procedures are followed, which will be outlined and trained by the site manager.
• Delivering first aid if required.
• Light domestic chores in communal areas.

What you'll need to succeed

• You must be reliable.
• Similar experience is desired but not essential; relevant experience may be considered.
• You can demonstrate the ability to think on your feet.
• You are passionate and understanding about the individuals you will be looking after.
• You can demonstrate a can-do attitude.
