Job summary

Scotsman Group is hiring a Hotel Night Porter to help ensure the smooth operation of our hotel overnight. You will welcome guests, assist with late check-ins/early check-outs, respond to requests, and maintain safety and cleanliness during the night.

The role requires a friendly, flexible, hands-on approach, good communication, and the ability to work independently during quieter periods while knowing when to seek support. Hospitality experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or hotel experience preferred but not essential.
• Willing to work night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, friendly, and professional welcome to guests throughout the night.
• Assist with late check-ins and early check-outs, ensuring the process is efficient and with minimal disruption.
• Respond to guest requests and enquiries, providing information about the hotel, its facilities and the local area.
• Carry out regular security and safety walk-rounds, reporting any concerns or incidents.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the hotel's public areas overnight.
• Assist guests with luggage, deliveries and other requests as required.
• Support room service operations when needed.
