Job summary

Langdale Leisure Limited is seeking a Night Porter for Langdale Hotel and Spa in Ambleside. You will help provide a safe, welcoming environment and coordinate overnight support for residents, responding promptly to emergencies and guest requests.

Role involves night operations, securing the estate, and delivering guest services across a 44-hour week over 4 days in a on-site setting. Live-in accommodation may be available for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work overnight shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
• Friendly, approachable, with a guest-focused mindset.
• Calm and confident under pressure, able to respond effectively to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional overnight guest service, responding promptly to requests, enquiries and issues while ensuring a welcoming and professional experience.
• Support the smooth operation of the Estate during the night, assisting with a variety of operational matters and resolving issues independently where appropriate.
• Prepare conference, meeting and event spaces to guest specifications, ensuring all rooms are presented to the highest standard and ready for use.
• Carry out night audits, security patrols and safety checks across the Estate, maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, staff and property.
• Provide overnight hospitality support, including serving refreshments, assisting with arrivals and departures, and maintaining the presentation of public areas.
• Act as the company's primary point of contact during the night shift, maintaining a professional and presentable appearance at all times to uphold the company's standards and image.
