Job summary

The Montagu Arms Hotel in Beaulieu, Set in the heart of the New Forest, is seeking a friendly Night Porter to join our team and help ensure the hotel runs smoothly overnight and that guests have a warm, professional experience.

Working 18 hours across two night shifts, you will welcome late arrivals, assist guests, run the night audit in Opera, handle cash, and maintain the highest standards of service and presentation.

Qualifications

• Passion for hospitality and delivering excellent service.
• Experience in a hotel environment or similar role.
• Friendly, approachable and confident with guests.
• Reliable and able to work independently at night.
• Strong organisational skills and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Welcome late arrivals and check-in guests.
• Ensure porter presence in Reception for guest assistance.
• Show guests to rooms and assist with luggage.
• Run the night audit and Opera reports.
• Handle cash accurately.
• Maintain security and lock up the hotel.
• Monitor arrivals, events and functions.
• Support bar with beverages to guests.
• Provide information on hotel facilities and local attractions.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously.
• Maintain high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
