Job summary

Old Thorns Hotel & Resort in Hampshire is seeking a Night Porter to join our team. This entry-level role ensures smooth and safe hotel operations, delivering high standards of guest service on a 5-night-a-week rota.

Live-out position with responsibilities including night audits, property walk rounds, and setting up conference spaces while maintaining professional public areas. Great for starting a career in Front of House within a four-star resort.

Qualifications

• Valid Right to Work in the UK is required; sponsorship not available.
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Work well within a team and demonstrate a polite, attentive manner.
• Excellent communication skills and a good level of spoken English.
• Able to deliver high-quality customer service at all times.

Responsibilities

• Carry out night audit tasks and provide a thorough handover at shift end.
• Know hotel facilities and outlets to answer queries quickly and accurately.
• Regularly walk all hotel areas and report irregularities to Night Manager.
• Set up conference and banqueting suites per hotel requirements.
• Ensure front-of-house areas are clean to maintain a professional impression.
• Carry out room service duties when catering is closed.
• Ensure guests receive the highest standards of service.
