Encore in London (Aldgate, E1) is seeking a proactive Concierge to greet residents and visitors, handle queries, and coordinate maintenance and deliveries. The role follows a 4 on 4 off pattern, 7pm–7am, with duties spanning security, parcel handling, and safety checks.

Qualifications

• Experience as a concierge or strong background in customer service or security.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Health & safety knowledge is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist residents and guests, addressing queries and maintenance requests.
• Resolve issues promptly and escalate concerns as needed.
• Conduct regular site security checks, verify IDs and monitor CCTV.
• Record deliveries and manage parcels for residents.
• Keep the lobby and concierge area neat and presentable.
• Perform safety checks and assist with alarms and emergency lighting testing.
• Share local knowledge to enhance residents' experiences.

• Location: Aldgate, London, E1
• Hours/Working Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 7pm-7am
• Annual Salary: £28,000-£29,000

What You'll Be Doing:

• Welcome and Assist: Greet residents and visitors warmly, making them feel at home. Handle queries and assist with maintenance requests.
• Problem-Solving: Address issues promptly, from maintenance to emergencies, and elevate concerns as needed.
• Security: Conduct regular site walk-arounds, check IDs, and monitor CCTV to maintain building safety.
• Parcel Management: Handle and record deliveries for residents ensuring a smooth communication and pick up.
• Maintain Presentation: Keep the concierge area and lobby looking presentable.
• Safety Checks: Looking out for H&S hazards on site patrol, Assist with fire alarm, emergency lighting, and smoke vent testing.
• Local Knowledge: Offer advice and recommendations about the local area to enhance residents’ experience.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience as a concierge is a plus, but a strong customer service or security background is equally valued.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Health & safety qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
• A positive, can-do attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to handle responsibilities with care.
