Qualifications

  • Experience as a Senior Care Assistant in residential care.
  • NVQ or QCF accreditation in Health & Social Care at level 3 or above.

Job description

We are currently looking to appoint a compassionate and committed Care Lead to join our dynamic Care Team in our newly built, state of the art, Middlefields House Care Home. The Night Care Lead's role is vital in the residential care of older people, promoting their health and well-being on a personal level.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a high-quality, professional service of care to our residents.
  • Supervise all staff on the Care Team during your period of duty, including responsibilities such as Health, Safety, and Security; administering medications to residents; and arranging cover for absent staff.
  • Assist residents with personal cleanliness, including bathing.
  • Support residents to eat and drink.
  • Get to know residents to comfort, assist, and give reassurance when needed.
  • Supervise the care and well-being of our residents.
  • Ensure residents' care plans are up-to-date.
  • Encourage residents to maintain independence and health and to participate in community activities within the home.
  • Treat residents as individuals with unique and diverse needs, ensuring dignity and respect.
  • Assist in end-of-life care.
  • Perform other duties assigned by your manager that are within your capabilities.
About you:
  • You enjoy working with older people and can empathize with them.
  • You preferably have an NVQ or QCF accreditation in Health & Social Care at level 3 or above.
  • You have experience working as a Senior Care Assistant in residential care.
  • You are willing to lead shifts and take a hands-on role as required.
  • You can work in a team and are willing to take on any task to provide excellent care to our residents.

As a member of our Night Care Team, we require you to have previous care experience.

Hours:

22 hours Night Lead & 11 hours night care hours including alternate weekends

  • Bank Holiday hourly rates £22.46 p/h
