Night Care Lead (Part-time)

We are currently looking to appoint a compassionate and committed Care Lead to join our dynamic Care Team at Middlefields House Care Home. The Night Care Lead plays a vital role in providing residential care for older people, promoting their health and well-being on a personal level.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality, professional care to residents.
  • Supervise all staff during your shift, including responsibilities like health and safety, medication administration, and staffing coverage.
  • Assist residents with personal cleanliness, such as helping with baths.
  • Support residents in eating and drinking.
  • Get to know residents to offer comfort, assistance, and reassurance.
  • Supervise residents’ care and well-being.
  • Ensure care plans are current.
  • Encourage residents to remain independent and engaged within the community.
  • Treat residents with dignity and respect, recognizing their individual needs.
  • Assist with end-of-life care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your manager within your capabilities.

About you:
  • You enjoy working with older people and have empathy for them.
  • Preferably, you hold an NVQ or QCF Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care.
  • You have experience as a Senior Care Assistant in residential care.
  • You are willing to lead shifts and take a hands-on role as needed.
  • You work well in a team and are committed to providing excellent care.

Previous care experience is required for our Night Care Team.

Hours:

22 hours Night Lead & 11 hours night care, including alternate weekends
