Job summary

Care First UK Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Night Care Assistant for a care home in Marchwood, Hampshire. The role involves supporting residents with day-to-day needs and maintaining dignity and quality of life during night shifts (8pm–8am).

Training and ongoing support are provided, with an emphasis on person-centred care and team collaboration. No formal qualifications are required as full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Night Care Assistant

Location: Marchwood, Hampshire
Salary: £13.05 per hour

Shift Times: 8pm to 8am
Job Type: Part Time Contracts 24 hours per week
DBS Check: Funded by Employer

Night Care Assistant Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family run, award-winning care home just over 30 beds in Marchwood area, looking for compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to join their friendly team.

They support residents with residential, dementia, respite and reablement care.

They use the latest care technology, run a rich activities programme, and invest seriously in their team. Many of the staff have been with them for years, and they are proud to have supported people to progress from Care Assistant all the way to Deputy Manager.

The Night Care Assistant Role

As a Care Assistant, you will support residents with their day-to-day needs, helping them maintain independence, dignity and quality of life.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting residents with personal care
  • Assisting with meals and hydration
  • Helping with mobility and daily activities
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in residents' wellbeing
  • Maintaining accurate care records using digital systems
  • Working closely with colleagues, residents and families
  • Following care, safeguarding and health & safety procedures
What We're Looking For
Essential
  • Kind, caring and patient nature
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliable and dependable approach to work
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Comfortable supporting people with personal care
  • Basic IT skills for updating care records
  • Commitment to providing high‑quality care
Desirable
  • Previous experience in a care home, healthcare or support work setting
  • Experience supporting people living with dementia
  • Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
  • Moving & Handling or First Aid training

No formal qualifications are required as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
