Job summary

The Sandman Signature Newcastle Hotel is seeking a Night Auditor Duty Manager to join our 4-star, 170-bedroom city centre team. This 40-hour week covers five shifts (22:45–07:15) including weekends and bank holidays, with nightly audit procedures and supervisory responsibilities.

You should deliver exceptional guest service, be highly flexible, reliable and experienced in overnight hotel management, able to reconcile payments and close the business date while supporting a friendly, professional

Qualifications

• Overnight Duty Management experience in a hotel environment.
• Excellent customer service and professional presentation.
• Willingness to learn and develop within hospitality.
• Flexible and highly reliable with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and manage arrivals and departures.
• Carry out cashiering duties and payments reconciliation.
• Provide guests with information and assistance as required.
• Handle reservations and telephone enquiries.
• Assist with luggage and guest support as needed.
• Reconcile payments, revenue streams and close the business date.
• Perform duty manager and supervisory duties as required.
• Undertake other duties as directed.

The Sandman Signature Newcastle Hotel are looking to recruit a Night Auditor Duty Manager to join a fantastic team at the 4 star 170 bedroom establishment in Newcastle City Centre.

Are you a Night Owl?

We are looking for a dynamic, highly flexible personality who strives to exceed customer expectations as well as having a willingness to learn and develop within the hospitality industry.

The hours of work are 40 hours per week, working five shifts over seven days, shift start and finish times are typically 22:45-07:15 and include weekends & bank holidays. Key responsibilities of this role include:

• To provide a warm, welcoming and friendly environment
• Management of guest arrivals and departures
• Cashiering duties
• To provide guests with information and assistance as required
• Reservations handling
• Telephone handling
• Luggage assistance
• Reconciliation of payments, revenue streams & closing of business date, and the completion of all other Night Audit procedures
• To carry out Duty Manager and supervisory duties and make decisions accordingly
• All other duties as directed

The ideal candidate:

• Always delivers exceptional customer service in a professional manner
• Is personable and presentable
• Works well both as part of a team and on own initiative, and with a good level of common sense
• Has a keen eye for detail with the ability to find, trace and correct anomalies
• Is highly reliable and very flexible with working patterns
• Has a strong willingness to learn and is keen to develop and progress within the hospitality industry
• Is experienced in overnight Duty Management within a hotel environment
