Job summary

Rydon is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee PFI expiry and handback activities for NHS contracts. The role focuses on planning, execution, monitoring, and transition through to successful handback, coordinating across operational and technical teams, trusts, and supply chain partners.

You will manage lifecycle and asset records, ensure timely delivery, and maintain clear communications on risks and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong project management experience within facilities management.
• Proven experience with NHS PFI contracts.
• Experience in PFI expiry, handback or exit programmes.
• Knowledge of lifecycle and asset management.
• Experience managing contractors across complex estates.
• Strong commercial, financial and programme management skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive portfolio tracker with deadlines and actions.
• Coordinate evidence from operations, helpdesks, and asset records.
• Prepare formal responses to Trusts, consultants and Project Co reps.
• Support Handback and transition planning, documentation & meetings.
• Collate works into packages for supply chain partners and coordinate delivery.
• Manage works from identification to completion within timescales.
• Identify and recover rechargeable works.
• Produce updates highlighting risks, deadlines, progress and decisions.
