Job summary

Rydon currently seeks a Multi-skilled Maintenance Operative to join the NHS Maintenance team at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup. The role is full-time, based on site, with a standard 8am–5pm schedule and optional on-call shifts to increase earnings.

You’ll handle reactive repairs, routine maintenance and planned upgrades to help keep facilities safe for staff and patients. Ideal candidates will have broad building skills (plumbing, carpentry, plastering), a good safety mindset and a valid UK

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, preferably NHS or contractor serving NHS.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive, planned and preventative maintenance on site.
• Carry out plumbing, carpentry, plastering and general maintenance tasks.
• Work in a live healthcare environment following strict safety procedures and protocols.
• Participate in on-call rota to respond to urgent repairs.
