Job summary

Rydon Maintenance invites applications for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Operative based at the Bracton Centre in Dartford, Kent. You will join our NHS Maintenance team delivering reactive, planned and preventative maintenance for NHS clients, in a live healthcare environment.

The role is multi-trade, covering plumbing, carpentry, plastering and general wear-and-tear maintenance, with normal hours 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, and optional on-call shifts to boost earnings.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance is essential, ideally within NHS or a maintenance contractor.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe systems of working.
• Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to undertake a wide range of general building skills (plumbing, painting, carpentry, plastering).

Responsibilities

• Provide reactive repairs and planned maintenance for NHS clients.
• Carry out general maintenance works in a live healthcare environment.
• Be available for on-call shifts to support urgent repairs.
