Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Band 6 Mammographer to join the NHS Breast Screening Programme in Portsmouth. You will perform high-quality mammography examinations across the Breast Imaging Department and Mobile Breast Screening Unit, delivering accurate imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

Join a vibrant and dynamic team in Portsmouth as a Band 6 Mammographer within the Breast Screening service, earning up to £29.78 hourly on an ongoing basis. With two full-time positions available, this is a thrilling opportunity to work across both the Breast Imaging Department and Mobile Breast Screening Unit. What you will do:

• Conduct high-quality mammography examinations within the NHS Breast Screening Programme
• Undertake screening, symptomatic, surveillance, and family history mammography services
• Work fluently across both static and mobile breast screening services
• Produce top-notch diagnostic images, minimising the need for repeat examinations
• Participate actively in image assessment, quality assurance, and audit activities
• Operate mammography equipment safely and effectively
• Register patients and manage appointments using radiology information systems
• Utilise PACS and NBSS systems for image review and workflow management
• Support health promotion and breast awareness initiatives
• Supervise and guide trainee mammographers, assistant practitioners, and mammography associates
• Contribute to clinical audits, service evaluation, and research activities
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, breast care teams, and multidisciplinary colleagues
• Maintain patient dignity, confidentiality, and uphold high standards of patient care
