Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Band 6 Mammographer to join the NHS Breast Screening Programme in Portsmouth. You will perform high-quality mammography examinations across the Breast Imaging Department and Mobile Breast Screening Unit, delivering accurate imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting mammography examinations within the NHS Breast Screening Programme.
• Ability to work across static and mobile breast screening services.
• Supervise trainee mammographers and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality mammography examinations.
• Screening, symptomatic, surveillance, and family history services.
• Operate mammography equipment safely.
• Register patients and manage appointments using radiology information systems.
• Utilise PACS and NBSS for image review and workflow management.
• Support health promotion and breast awareness initiatives.
• Collaborate with radiologists and breast care teams.
• Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality.
