Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Finance Manager to lead budget setting for directorates, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, and provide insightful commentary to support decision-making. You will work closely with the Head of Finance and other directors to deliver robust financial information and drive process improvements across the finance function.

The role requires professional accounting qualifications, strong analytical ability, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Professional qualification (CCAB) in accountancy (CIMA, ACA, CIPFA, ACCA).
• Degree
• First time passes in professional examinations
• Attendance at an Accounting for Foundation Trusts course

Responsibilities

• Budget setting for Directorate in line with the policies and processes specified.
• Period end finance reports are complete, accurate and include concise commentary for the Board.
• Ensure the integrity of the financial data contained within finance reports and directorate budget reports.
• Review and analyse data before dissemination and provide clear, concise commentary on figures.
• Explore better methods of presenting financial information to the Divisional Board; support the Head of Finance for the division with strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint usage.
• Ensure reporting timelines are met as required by the Head of Finance (Reporting).
