Job summary

NHS in Sheffield is seeking a Finance Manager (Band 7/8a) to lead management accounting for directorates, coordinate confidential financial advice, and produce timely monthly budget reports and forecasts for submission to the Trust Board and NHSE.

You will support strategic planning, develop business cases, oversee costing, benchmarking, and service line reporting, and line-manage the Directorate Finance team, fostering professional development.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate confidential financial advice and support to Directorates to meet budget targets and patient activity targets.
• Oversee, coordinate, produce and distribute monthly budget reports and review directorate forecasts.
• Prepare and review formal financial reports for submission to the Trust Board, ICS, NHSE and Directorate teams.
• Lead and manage the Directorate Finance team on a day-to-day basis and develop staff professionally.
• Develop strategic plans, evaluate proposals and contribute to business cases and annual budgeting.
