Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Excel and finance systems for reporting and month-end tasks.
• Experience inputting into a general ledger and generating standard/ad-hoc reports.
• Able to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and distribution of monthly directorates financial reports.
• Input data into Oracle Financial Management System (journals, budgets, feeder data).
• Provide information and support to identify and interpret variances from budget.
• Assist in annual budget preparation to reflect service requirements.
• Ensure income is identified and invoices issued in a timely manner.
• Liaise with Financial Services to code income and expenditure correctly.
• Maintain budget control and monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare ad-hoc costing information as required.
• Support development/improvement of financial procedures for efficiency.
• Develop relationships within the finance team and answer queries under supervision.
